Welcome to my site!
I use this space to provide context to my decisions as a council member and talk about what I am doing in our community.

If you have questions or just want to chat, please contact me. Regardless of your reason for being here, thank you for stopping by and for taking the time to read what I have to share.

I was elected as Deputy Mayor of the Town of Kingsville in 2022 and prior as a councillor in 2018. I am also the Executive Director of the Kingsville Community Centre.
I am an open-minded, life-long learner, and I do my best to be responsive to my community’s needs. I am fortunate to work with some of the best people and groups dedicated to serving. I have several posts in the works and just need to make the time to complete them. If you don’t want to miss new posts, subscribe at the bottom of the page.

The sector provides jobs, investment, and…

A New Chapter for Local Hydro Service: Transition from ELK to ENWIN

For the past several years, I have consistently advocated for improved hydro service reliability and infrastructure investment for residents in Kingsville and Cottam served by ELK Energy. As a member of the ELK Board, I did not have a role in the shareholder decision made by the Town of Essex to sell the utility. However,…

Facebook deletes live videos after 30 days – so I thought I would post them here if they are relevant to current town/council topics:

How I See It: County Council Pay Increase

As you likely know, I – along with the majority of Council – voted in June 2024 to bring Council compensation more in line with others doing the same work. Those that voted opposed commented that the increase should be adopted the following year or term. I’ve shared my thoughts on this issue a couple…

Hydro One has confirmed the available capacity and has formally accepted the application for the second feed. Located near the Freshco plaza, this new feed will significantly enhance the E.L.K. Energy…
